What does the Port Scanner do?

The Port Scanner checks any IP address for open TCP ports and retrieves service banners. It can identify web services and suggest external apps for known protocols such as SSH, Telnet, HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, and SMB.

Can I see devices connected to my Wi-Fi network?

Yes. The Local Network Discovery feature shows all devices connected to your Wi-Fi network and provides detailed information about them.

Does PortDroid support Wi-Fi analysis?

Yes. The Wi-Fi Analyzer scans nearby wireless networks and analyzes signal strength. It also supports 6 GHz networks on compatible devices.

What is Ping used for?

Ping helps you test whether a host is online and measures how quickly it responds.

What does Traceroute do?

Traceroute tracks the path your network packets take to reach a destination and can geo-locate IP addresses to display them on a map.

What is Wake-on-LAN (WoL)?

Wake-on-LAN allows you to remotely power on compatible devices connected to your network.

Can I look up domain and IP information?

Yes. PortDroid supports DNS Lookup, Reverse IP Lookup, and WHOIS Lookup to retrieve DNS records, hosted websites, and domain registration details.

Why does PortDroid require internet permission?

Internet access is required for network operations such as ping, port scanning, and other remote connectivity features.

Why does the app need Wi-Fi and network permissions?

These permissions allow PortDroid to analyze Wi-Fi networks and examine both Wi-Fi and non-Wi-Fi network connections.

Are there in-app purchases?

Yes. In-app purchases are available to upgrade to the Pro version and unlock additional features.
