How It Works
Most modern aircraft use ADS-B transponders to broadcast their position. Flightradar24 collects this data through a network of over 50,000 ground stations worldwide, displaying flights in real time. In some regions, we use multilateration to calculate positions of non-ADS-B aircraft. North American coverage also includes radar-based tracking. Please note that coverage is subject to change.
